Join the Long Island Continuum Care Ranking Committee and have your voice heard on how federal funding for solving homelessness is spent in your community!
Committee members are responsible for creating criteria to evaluate program applications for funding and evaluating programs against those standards to determine which will be prioritized for funding. Joining the committee involves an intensive commitment from June through September of 2 to 3 meetings per month that last a minimum of 2 hours. Those elected to the committee will also be expected to attend onboarding trainings on 6/5 and 6/12 from 2:30-3:45pm.
ℹ️ About Us: The Long Island Continuum of Care (CoC) is a network of people and organizations committed to solving homelessness. Supported by funds from the federal Office of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), we work collaboratively to provide essential services and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Person with a disability/disabilities
People that represent CoC funded agencies are not eligible to run for a position on the Ranking Committee.
📅 Commitment and Term Details: Committee members are expected to be able to attend:

Two to three meetings per month June through September and less frequent meetings throughout the year

Meetings are a minimum of 2 hours long and take place during business hours

Onboarding will be on 6/5 and 6/12 from 2:30-3:45pm

What will the election process look like?
Candidates interested in running for the Long Island Continuum Care Ranking Committee can expect to fill out a nomination form, providing information on their expertise on homelessness and the skills they would bring to the committee.
Nomination forms are due on 5/15. Fill out the form here.
